Pierre-Alexis Mouthuy

Biomedical engineer

My main research interests are in the development of medical devices that support the repair of damaged or diseased biological tissues such as tendons and ligaments. I graduated as a bioengineer from the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium) in 2007 and then obtained my DPhil in tissue engineering at the Engineering Science Department of the University of Oxford in 2012. I am now a departmental lecturer and senior research fellow at the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences in Oxford.
