Seth went to Harvard for his BA in computer science and math. After graduating, he spent a few years in Switzerland doing research at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and the World Health Organisation. He contributed to global health research on questions including: how many people in the world having hearing loss or are blind? He did his PhD at Carnegie Mellon University in machine learning and public policy. His research is on machine learning methods for social science and public policy applications, especially public health and criminology.
