The Ultimate Picture Palace, Jeune Street, Cowley Road, Oxford OX4 1BN

Great Scott! On October 21st, Science Oxford Live are celebrating the day Marty McFly arrived in the future to save his children by screening a double bill of Robert Zemeckis’ classics.

There will be a 30 minute break between the films in which broadcaster Quentin Cooper and fusion scientist Greg Keech will discuss how far away we are from the 2015 imagined in the film and where we might be in 2045.

Back the Future will start at 18:45, and Back to the Future, Part II will screen at 21:00. We are only taking pre bookings for the double bill but individual tickets can be bought on the door.

‘To put it bluntly: if you don’t like Back To The Future, it’s difficult to believe that you like films at all.’ Adam Smith, Empire Magazine

‘Delightful and sophisticated to a degree beyond the dreams of today’s movies in similar vein.’ David Gritten, Daily Telegraph.
